The Stumbling Mystic: I am an aspiring independent scholar, with a background in computer science, and currently completing a graduate degree in psychology. I hope to work in Lahore, Pakistan, a few months from now. I’m a big believer in multidisciplinary studies, and obsessively read about science, religion, culture, and philosophy. While I don’t post much on spiritual matters on this blog, I’m also an initiate into the Indian mystical tradition of Vedanta, and have an interest in Sufism as well, but am very distrustful of organized religion. When I’m not meditating or being a total geek, I hang out with my partner and friends, and play a little guitar on the side.
Butters: I am an aspiring something-or-other, with a background in philosophy. I am in the final year of my undergraduate degree in philosophy and political science. I do not obsessively read about anything, as I am in fact an illiterate philistine. My areas of interest are consciousness, theology, ethics and continental philosophy.
Awais Aftab: I am a medical student. Philosophy is my primary passion and defines the way I see life, society and the world. From here, my interests branch out to religious criticism, psychology, modern physics, art and literature. My personal life is an eternal conflict between myself and the suffocating society that surrounds me, in which my free-thinking friends provide me the much needed air to breathe. You can read my personal blog here.
Mr. Tambourine Man: I am a student of finance and an aspiring financial analyst/investment banker. Having successfully sold my soul to the devil I hope to atone for it by blogging here. I am frequently troubled by not being as well-read as I would like to be. The only thing religious about me is my support for Manchester United and my fascination with movies. My interests extend to politics, music, philosophy and flip flops.
Ayaz Aslam: I am a software engineer by profession, working at a software house in Islamabad. My primary interests are philosophy, theoretical physics and evolutionary biology. Music and poetry, I consider, to be the finest creations of humankind: truly divine! In fiction writing, I am a fan of Russian novelists. I am a good chess player, but suffer from having no matching opponent to play with.
